These took me a few hours to install. I had to manufacture a mount for the amp and configure the wiring. So between the long install and for them to barely be usable while riding. I am completely dissatisfied with these. Im not even sure the "amplifier" really does anything. I feel like if had small portable bluetooth speakers that are just as loud. maybe if they were like $30 cheaper. but i still dont think the price was worth it.Im likely going to return these. Though im dreading it, due to the amount of work i put in to installing them. Taking them off to return them is going to be a pain.My bike is loud but even with the clutch in, these cant compete with the wind noise. So theyre useless unless youre stopped at a light.

I was using rechargeable bluetooth speakers on my HD Road King that wouldnt last long so opted for this low cost set-up for now. It plays music. Not very much bass so don't expect high end quality of sound. It has been in mutiple downpours out at Sturgis and works fine. Only downside is when it turns on, the recorded female voice that tells you that bluetooth is connected is very loud and doesn't seem to have a way to turn it down and is not at the same volume level as what you have the music set at. Not a big deal as it only yells at you (lol) when turning on and connecting then you don't here from her again unless you switch to FM radio or Aux input.

No complaints on these! You can hear these over the exhaust on his motorcycle! Love that they are Bluetooth & you are able to switch the song without taking your eyes off the road!

The speakers are pretty, but plastic. The installation is relatively straightforward; everything was labeled and I liked that I was able to test the system within 5 minutes by plugging the amp quick connector to the charging connector on my 2001 Fatboy. The instructions state that the volume is limited for operator safety. I found that funny; the volume is limited because the amp gets extremely hot within a couple minutes and I am sure it is operating at max capacity with the volume turned up. The volume is decent, and I am sure that you will hear it when operating at anything less than extreme conditions. The lack of lower bass response on speakers in this price range is going to limit apparent volume on any speaker in this price range. The built-in FM radio worked fine for me; the antenna is built into the wire going to the remote (You may want to run this wire back and forth across the entire span of the handlebars for optimum response). The package includes a 1/8 cable for hooking up anything with a earphone/line out jack. There is also an input for a jump drive to other USB device for mp3 playback (you cannot use this USB connection for charging a phone). So, if the system fits your bike, you will probably find that this is a decent system for the price. That being said, I found myself having to make continual compromises to accommodate my 2001 Fatboy. No matter where I installed the speakers, the left one interfered with my clutch cable. It would have probably worked, but looked cheesy with the cable pressed against the front of the left speaker. The most rugged part of the speakers is the handlebar clamps, which are of good quality with two different size rubber inserts. Unfortunately, neither sized rubber inserts would enable a snug fit on the handlebars. If I doubled up on the inserts, I would be defeating the purpose of the tongue and groove type channel built into the clamps and the inserts. You could probably stick a piece of additional rubber from a bike inner tube and get them to tighten up. I would have gone with that option if I had not had other issues. The remote control is actually pretty cool; however it suffered from the same attachment problems that the speakers did. Also, the remote clamp was missing a nut, which obviously would not have been a deal breaker, but another annoyance.I could have put the amp in the saddlebag as others had done, but as previously mentioned, the amp gets extremely hot, and without adequate airflow across it, I just don’t believe it will survive continuous duty in hot weather. I decided on putting the amp in the windshield pouch, even though I hated to give the windshield pouch up, since that is where I keep my glasses and registration. Then, when experiencing the problems with trying to mount the remote, I was pretty much done with compromising and adapting. The bottom line is I wasn’t confident enough in the survival of this system to warrant permanently splicing into my electrical system, or giving up my windshield bag. If you’re willing to go the extra mile and tighten up the speaker and remote handlebar clamps, and attach the amp somewhere where it can have some airflow, you might like this system. If I had more confidence in this system, I think I would have wire-tied the amp to the frame just above the middle crash bar attaching plate. As others have mentioned, if you wire this directly to the battery, it will drain your battery over a few days. You should either splice into an accessory wire that turns off when the ignition is off, or wire a toggle switch in line with the positive lead. My personal opinion is that this system would be better suited for an ATV or Golf Cart where the amplifier can be mounted somewhere where it can receive cooling air. It was priced just high enough over competing models that I expected a little more from the system.

Not bad considering the price, but it would be nice to be able to hear as a passenger. Not enough volume at the back of the motorcycle.

My bike has loud pipes and at 70 MPH I can hear these clearly. I ordered a second set for my sportster.
