One of the speakers had NO sign of damage but clearly the cone had abrasive contact with the voice coil from improper manufacturing and no quality assurance program.

Was a perfect fit and close enough drop in replacement for the speakers in my Cambridge Soundworks Ensemble II subwoofer. The cone bellows dry rotted out and the coil started rattling producing a really annoying clicking during use. Impedance is a little high 7.8ohm (8 spec) versus original 5.3ohm (6 spec), but fully functional and good clean sound. Picture is new and old.

Very happy with purchase. Speakers arrived with no problems. Packaged well and sounded great. Used them to replace worn out in the wall speakers. They fit in the existing enclosures without any modifications.

I have been testing Goldwood sound speakers for a few months and have only found one I don’t like. The silk dome tweeters tend to distort with certain frequencies so they are now in case of emergency tweeters. The 8” and 6.5” woofers give me everything I want. They are in sealed 2 cubic foot boxes. I’m not an audiophile but I have friends that are and want me to build their towers now lol. The 5” mid is awesome and the 3” kapton tweeter is probably the most impressive. All mids and tweeters have been ran with bass blockers. Will be buying more to finish up surround sound.
