The plastic surround bit works fine, however I needed to replace the boot with a actual Mopar part. This boot is quite tight and rubbery, it make it hard to put into some of the gears (specifically 2nd gear for me). The Mopar version works way better with no issues and is a bit softer.

It’s so much happier not to have it the rubber swinging around in circles because the clip was broken. Glad I bought both the boot and the clip together.
