Replacement for my aqua troll chlorinator. Perfect fit, 5 minutes and four screws (cover plate and timer). Change four electrical leads from the old time to the new one which took all of 30 seconds. Works great at less than half the cost of the name brand replacement.

Works like a champ and cost a fraction of what local hardware store or septic company wanted for the same item. Easy to swap out. Took some pictures of the old setup before unhooking, replaced it, set the timer and has been working since.

I purchased this timer in December 2023 as a direct replacement for what was installed in my septic system and had worked for 15 years. The product I received is on the right in the pictures. It lasted less than 6 months, after which time the internal switch contacts started malfunctioning. I purchased another replacement using the identical product description (ie. clicked on "buy again") and the new one came with Intermatic label on the back (shown on the left in the pictures). The third picture shows what is obviously a relabeled unit, and possibly sold as "new" when it was a factory second or remanufactured. The listing details showed it to be New and it's well past the return timeframe. I'm writing this review just to make others aware.

This is a direct replacement for my Intermatic timer that fried on me after only about 5 years of use. I need to buy the same thing, however. It came in a plastic bag, not even a box, and had no adhesive strips to stick it onto my septic controller panel. Fortunately I had some 3M double-sided foam tape laying around. For 50 bucks, they could include a way to mount it, and not assume it will be screwed onto a panel. It's called customer service.And this is way overpriced for what's in it. Take one apart and you'll see, like I did with my fried unit.Don't forget to take a picture of your wiring before you install the new one, and make sure to have an insulated terminal if your installation has one unused connection, as there will be 120V on it, depending on the state of the timer.

We have the Goldline salt system on our above ground pool. It has a the timer/power switch for the entire system all together in the timer switch. Our power switch was a little flaky and would loose contact in the on position, causing the entire system to shut off. This switch was a direct fit replacement. It came with new female crimp terminals to attach to the control box. It only took 10 minutes to install and had great directions.

I have 3 of these timers in our pool/hot tub system. For some reason, one of the timers continued to keep time, but would not turn on or off the pump. It was easy to remove, replace, and setup. It uses spade lugs on the back, so the electrical is a cinch.This model has a bypass switch which my previous model did not. This allows you to turn on the pump manually without changing the timer... I would highly recommend.
