Product Description

Responsive pro yoyo
balanced throw
extra string and response pads
ball bearing axle
easy to wake up

From beginner to pro the Merlin is perfect to easily perform string tricks like the Trapeze, Split the Atom, Braintwister, or the Double or Nothing. The Merlin yoyo has a silicone response system and a narrow C sized bearing. With the narrow C bearing in the Merlin you get the perfect amount of responsiveness for all of your standard yoyo tricks. A narrow C bearing means that you can tug on the string and make the yoyo wake up and the yos come back to your hand, like a traditional yoyo should operate. It will become one of your favorite yoyos. Weight: 63.8 grams - Width: 38.11 mm - Diameter: 54.3 mm

I am super impressed with this Responsive YoYo! It easily holds up against much higher-priced brands, making it economical as a carry-around or even as a giveaway to kids to get them into the hobby. For the price, it really can't be beaten. The performance is phenomenal for an inexpensive plastic yo-yo with caps. It is responsive and returns to your hand on tug, with a slim-type bearing, which usually has limitations, but this one has been amazing. I'm able to easily do fixed axle tricks, traditional classic tricks, and even modern responsive string tricks with ease. The spin times are great and it comes with extra string and replacement pads if ever needed. All in all, as much as I can't believe it, this will probably be one of my go-to yoyos for when I'm out and about because I know it's reliable, and if something ever happens to it or I pass it on to someone wanting to learn, I can easily get a replacement for a great price.

Added to my cart so I could qualify for overnight shipping in something else I needed. This was priced super cheap and I got it for my girlfriend. We love it. Great responsiveness and spin. Not big on the green color but that was the only one on sale. Easy for beginner and good for an advanced yo yo as well. Sleeps real good. Looks pretty cool.

It is ok. Spins a decent length of time. There was a knot 1/2 way down the string. Construction seems cheap. Pretty quiet. Value enough for $9. Next time i’d spend the extra $5 and get a x brain.

I am a 42 year old child that loves yo-yo's. I am not a pro more like a life long beginner to intermediate yo-yo'er at best. I do the basics like round the world, rock the cradle, and man on the flying trapeze. This Yo-Yo King MERLIN is pretty nice for my skill level it has a decent weight to get a good sleep and responds well without being overly responsive and without breaking your hand when it returns. It also has a good shape that fits well in my hand and is easy to land on the string. It feels pretty sturdy and well made with a good balance "does not vibrate" while sleeping. Put a drop of good yo-yo thin lube on the bearing and it will sleep for days! I have many yo-yo's "Duncan's, Yomega's, Magic Yo's" of all models and I like like them all but I think this Yo-Yo King MERLIN will be my carry around every day yo-yo and for $10 its a steal for a nice bearing yo-yo.... Great product and will buy again...

Been using yoyos for years, If you are tying to learn string tricks this one is for you. It's really wide, wider then most butterflys I've used making the trapeze easy to land. The bearing is solid so it holds its spin for quite a long time. The construction is solid if not basic. All in all this thing seems like a tank that won't mind being dropped a few times. If you are a beginner or an intermediate the merlin is well worth your time.

I had a random thought that I wanted to try out a Yoyo and this was the first one I saw when searching. It came with the yoyo & string attached as well as 2 additional strings and 2 string holders. The finger loop is very oversized so the string holders made it a lot easier to use so the strong didn't fall down my finger. This is definitely a trick yoyo as it continuously spins rather than come right back up after throwing it down but after a few times of using it, I was able to get the hang of it.

Cost slightly more than the Duncan Butterfly XT with the pros of having a better response system. But I wouldn't say it's for much play unless you modify it with an unresponsive bearing; that said, the Merlin tilts a little too easily for intermediate tricks and it's hard to break out of beginner's play to progress forward. Do not get me wrong, it's a well-made beginner's yoyo for sure. But just didn't meet my expectations on it. I would recommend Magicyoyo's K1 (also beginner yoyo) over this for better performance, plus it has a cheaper price point. Or, just skip all the nonsense and get the replay pro. That is one heluva beginner’s yo-yo.Another thing that I am not sure about is the Merlin's production versions. Some images shown to me by Amazon in various UI process has a version of the yoyo's both faces within a thick frame while some versions have thin frames with the black logo within. I'm not sure if these 2 versions have different performances. I got the thin framed one.

Its a good yoyo, out of the N11(Magicyoyo), Fireball(yomega) and this one I prefer using this one. All 3 of these are good but all are in different categories. Its a great starter yoyo from the aspect that you can change it from responsive to unresponsive and its shape makes it great for string tricks. There are better ones on the market but not for this cheap if youre wanting the same kinda thing but have a bit more money to throw at it I would recommend the Sage at around 20 USD.Personally, mine was damaged (minor wear and tear, scrapes etc) but it still threw alright and was able to learn the fundamentals off of this yoyo

This is a great yoyo. If you're a beginner moving into an intermediate skill level, this is probably one of the best yoyo's you can buy.The construction is top notch. The plastic is very durable and has a lot of weight to it. I've hit it on the ground over a dozen times and it barely has a scratch. It's very balanced and spin times are excellent. If I throw a strong sleeper it spins for well over a minute. What's great about this yoyo is it's almost custom tailored to make the transition from beginner to intermediate skill level. It is responsive so beginners will be able to pick it up and throw it into a sleeper and still have it return to them with a simple tug. Even though it's responsive though, you can still do a lot of string tricks especially the ones you start learning at the intermediate level. I have no problem doing man on the flying trapeeze, split the atom, and double or nothing.I recommend this yoyo to anyone that wants to learn how to do string tricks but isn't ready to do binds yet. It does return to your hand with a simple tug, has long sleep times, doesn't get tied up if you land the yoyo on the string a few times, and allows you to do intermediate tricks. For it's price point and target audience this is one of the best you can buy.
