I had what I thought was a scratched drum in my Brother laser printer and so I ordered a DR223 drum to replace it. I received a box marked with DR227 and so I at first thought I received the wrong item. However, after a browser search I figured out that a DR223 and DR227 are either the same or somehow they are interchangeable. The drum was well packed and protected from shipping damage. I installed the drum and tested my printer and all was well. Drum works just fine. Other than fitting and working or not fitting or working, I'm not sure how to judge a new drum. So I'd give the product 5 stars, but am taking one star off for not marking the the package with dual marking with DR223/DR227. I can't be the only one that didn't that both work in my printer model.

I got this replacement drum to use with my Brother HL-L3230CDW printer. It looks almost identical to the OEM ones that came with the printer, and it installed easily. I've been using it for several weeks now, and and it works great - just like the original.
