Greenlee round standard metal punch units are complete units consisting of punch, die and draw stud. They can punch quick clean holes through metal up to 10 gauge (check specs for specific punches). They can be used with battery-powered, hydraulic, ratchet or manual drivers. Properly assembled through pilot holes, they will make clean, fast and accurate holes. After cutting the slug falls free in the die, and a quick tip drops it out.

I broke the draw stud on the first hole like another user. Greenlee's website advertises this part number to be able to cut holes in 10 gauge (9/64") mild steel. On a panel constructed of thinner 14 gauge (5/64") mild steel the draw stud snapped before completing the first hole. At my last job we hand an ancient set of these that never gave us a problem.

Makes a perfect clean round hole in sheet metal. Takes longer to drill the pilot hole and setup this cutter than it takes to make the cut itself!!! Way safer than using a drill bit that's for sure. Worth the money cause it saves time.

I bought the 5/8" punch. I wanted a split punch but being the fact that this size is not a standard size I had to settle for this. This however, is the gold standard in punches and being offered the odd NON CONDUIT size that I needed this was great for our employees to run 35 holes in some steel boxes without a problem. We even used a drill to drive the punch without extra washers and had no problem. I would buy again for sure.

This tool works perfectly and very simple to use. Drilling large holes in thin metal is not easy. This tool eliminates that problem.
