I purchased 4 of these, 3 for bathroom sinks and 1 for my whirlpool tub. They quirk well, push to close, push again to open. Provide plenty of drainage when open.

It is well made but the flat top is a bit think and allowed water to remain in the sink. If you have a deep bevel in your sink this would work great. My sink is pretty standard and the area where the top lip sits isn’t deep enough to allow it to sit flat in the sink allowing water to remain in the sink.

Item was as described dimensionally. Is...surprisingly... very well built. Provided instructions were clear as to which way gaskets and seals should be oriented. No leaks, no issues with mounting. Looks great (time will tell...our area has hard water and needs 4% vinegar to cut all the deposits). Finish is smooth and even.

Water sits at the top of the drain like other reviewers said. But I don't mind at all if doesn't end up leaking which I doubt it will. It's well made. Very strong material.

This drain does not sit flush in my sink which causes pooling around the drain. The leading edge is too thick. The silicone gasket it comes with adds to the thickness as well. I will probably replace the drain. I may try removing the gasket and using putty.

The black finish bubbled up and came off within 2 weeks of installing these drains. We had to pay to have someone install them and now, not even 2 months later, it looks like complete garbage. Couldn’t be more disappointed and angry.

This Grid Drain Strainer Assembly Without Overflow was exactly what I needed to install a small sink.

I have replaced 3 sink drains with these always-on grid style drains. Each one from a different manufacturer. All have been great including this one. No mechanism inside means nothing for hair and debris to catch on. We used to get a lot of clogs before. Now the sinks never clog. This particular one is high quality and we're very happy with it. The washers are thick. I always smear a tiny amount of plumber's faucet grease on all sides of the washers and there are no leaks. The metal tailpiece is thicker gauge than others. I have no doubt it will last a long time. Two of our sinks have no overflow. When water covers all the hole in the grid drain, it forms an air pocket between the grid drain and the top of the water in the p-trap below. This is why you see comments about this style of drain (no overflow version) running slowly. The solution is to use a tailpiece with a dishwasher branch and connect a clear vinyl tube to that with a clamp. Loop the tube up as high as possible under the sink and leave the end open. This provides air into the tailpiece and water then drains quickly and perfectly. You can put your thumb over the end of the tube to prove it to anyone that doesn't believe it and explain too that yes your drain is properly vented after the p-trap. If the drain does clog, the sink will start to fill up and you'll see that. That's why the tube should be looped as high as possible under the sink. However, if your sink has an overflow, ensure to get the overflow version. The overflow serves a dual purpose of providing air into the tailpiece.
