I use these for our popup canopy when camping and they do a great job with staying anchored. I can see where certain types of soil may present a problem but so far I have had no issues. I live in the North East and our soil typically has lots of rocks in our area. I have used them without issue and use an impact driver to get them in for harder more dense soil. In sandy soil, they go in easily as expected and they hold firm.

I used them for my tent and canopy. They went into the ground with ease using the t-handle and even easier with a drill using the adaptor that comes with them. The only reason I gave it four stars is because water getting in the threads and started to rust. to fix this though I added a little grease and a small rubber o-ring to help prevent water from getting in there when we use them.

We have the harder clay soil in my area so I was excited when I came across these since staking anything is an all day event. Ordered this to stake down inflatable holiday decorations to ensure they don't give away to the wind.Tested these in the yard and loved being able to drive through the ground with my drill without breaking a sweat but quickly realized there was a flaw. With the harder clay, it was just coring the ground instead of drilling in and the corkscrew holding the stake in place. I tried it multiple times going fast, slow, and moderate speeds, I even tried making the ground wetter but still the same result. Just a cored hole with a loose stake sitting in it.If you have looser ground, it should work since the soil will settle back around the corkscrews to give it some bite but definitely not hard or clay soil

These anchors do exactly what you'd expect. They screw into the ground to hold anything you want. I drilled them into my lawn (just average dirt) and they were as strong and immovable as you'd hope. Way better than tying a rope to a brick or a concrete block. The included socket, designed to fit on an impact driver, is wonderful. I put the adapter in my driver, put the driver on heavy duty, squeezed the trigger and the anchor was in the ground in about a second. I suppose the manual adapter (also included) would work fine, but I can't see any reason to use it if you've got an impact driver. Two notes: (1) the loop (where you attach a rope or whatever) has to be unscrewed to use the impact driver (or manual driver), then, once in the ground, you screw it back on. If you used it to hold a dog leash in a park I could imagine an active dog running in circles and slowly unscrewing the loop - that's a bit of a stretch, but just something to be aware of. And (2) just be aware that when you use the impact driver to plant the anchor, the paint is going to come off the anchor. That could, in the long run, become a source of rust. Those notes aside, these things work great. Very happy to have them.
