This may be a great product for compound bows; however, it does not hold my crossbow upright, regardless of what angle I place the “buddy” or the crossbow. Although the product itself is made fairly sturdy, it should not be advertised as working for crossbows.

I’m very happy with this bow stand. Holds my Mathews creed perfectly. Completely silent in and out. I was a little concerned because my stand site has very dry, soft soil, but it turned out to be no problem at all. For the money you can’t beat it.

I got this because I thought it would be a great way to hold my bow in the ground. It's very beefy steel, but I found several issues when I went to use it. First off, because it's steel, it's super heavy. Figure out what you are going to leave behind when you are putting this in your pack. Secondly, the stake part that goes in the ground needs to be at LEAST twice as long to keep your arrow or bow limb out of the dirt when you push it into the ground. Third and most important to me- There is no protection where the limb goes in the slot. Sure, they have rubber on the top, but you can hear the steel scraping the heck out of my bow limb on the bottom part of the slot... Not much of "a buddy" if it ruins my bow in the process.

This bow holder is excellent. It's heavy duty and solid. It won't bend or tip over. It's definitely not flimsy in any way. If you hunt from the ground, this is a must have.

It's great. Easy in and out. Quite to remove the bow. Only down fall is can be hard to but in the ground of there is lots of roots. But the off set design you can put your boot on it and drive it home. Not really ment to be lugged around. More of a permanent ground blind set.

Prompt Shipping from Seller, Very Happy. As far as the product itself, it is very professionally built. I've used some ground bow holders in the past, and they always seem to loosen up and fall over when I finally get happy with the bow angle I want. This Ground Buddy locks in where u want it the first time, and stays there. Great for Practice in the yard, and I can't wait to try it in the ground blind. I would recommend this product. You wont be disappointed.

My first order from Gear Nation, and I have to say, I'm impressed with how quickly my order processed and the product arrived, exactly as pictured.I've owned other ground blind bow holders before, but I was turned off from them because of their flimsiness and lack of security when holding my bow, so that is what I was looking for in a new bow holder.My Ground Buddy seems to be made out of a solid piece 1/4" thick steel, and is anything but flimsy. It has a little weight to it, but any points lost due to weight is quickly gained back in the durability it exhibits. This, all before I even got in the blind.The My Ground Buddy easily inserts into the ground at any angle to accommodate various bow models. What I found nice was that the stake is so thick and durable that it pushes past rocks and roots without too much difficulty.It is quiet after setup because of the coating on the bow holder itself. One thing I found great about it, is that it's not overly tall, which allows adequate access to the bow when sitting in a low blind chair, and it provides my bow a rock solid position within an arms reach while in the blind. My movement was able to be restricted to below the sidewall of the blind, completely silent in removing my bow for my shot. I took my buck this year at 20 yards from my blind, and I'll no doubt be taking my ground buddy bow holder with me to take a few does too! Highly recommended.
