My dentist tells me that the shape of my teeth just happens to make me more susceptible to getting food trapped between them than most, and she recommended I use these brushes before brushing (or when I'm annoyed by something stuck where it shouldn't be). I've often found that dental floss just doesn't do the job, and toothpicks are hit-or-miss. These are like pipe cleaners that slide in easily and pull out everything -- literally brushing between the teeth. I still floss regularly (especially areas where there isn't enough space to trap food), but using these brush heads on the plastic tool my dentist gave me has been a lifechanger.

The brushes work well. They should be changed out regularly. As they get old, the wire break.

These brushes latch into a handle to enable you to reach tough spots, such as the inside of teeth - for cleaning gaps in teeth from the inside as well as the normal hand held proxabrush for cleaning from the outside of the tooth.

My dentist got me onto these years ago and I've used them nearly every time I brush my teeth, especially at night. They get in between teeth with no problem and really seem to work wonders. I also use floss when needed, but these are much easier. I"m 90 years old and my teeth are in excellent shape...still get them cleaned and checked twice a year but it doesn't take long. Always get compliments about what good shape my teeth and gums are in. I really believe these little brushes are a blessing!!!
