We've installed two other sets of downspout hinges and compared to those, this set of hinges is okay, they're not quite as sturdy and robust as I would like them to be. The wire saw it came with is pretty much useless--I used metal shears since you have to cut both parts that you're going to attach the hinges to at a 45 degree angle and the wire saw really isn't made for that. The screws it came with are okay; our gutters are old steel and needed to be pre-drilled so attaching the screws was itself not difficult but drilling the holes in the old steel was not easy (which is particular to our situation and probably not a common experience). Overall this set of hinges is good, they do get the job done, but I would have liked them to be a little thicker and a little sturdier owing to the heft of our old downspouts.
