Could not believe the difference. The old (original) belt was slipping and blades would slow down on heavy cuts. New on engages quickly and no slipping. Only mowed once so I can't comment on longevity. I am going to assume that the John Deere belt will hold up.MAKE SURE YOU TAKE A PHOTO OF THE BELT LAYOUT BEFORE REMOVING THE BELT.I also recommend sharpen or replace the blades and to lubricate the idler pulleys and grease the spindles at the same time.The whole project took about 3 hours to complete. I work slow.

Made it through one cutting. Burned and shredded. I guess you get what you pay for. John Deere belt was 8 years old. Replaced it because it had a couple of cracks in it.I’d like to change my review. After taking the deck back off I found that my idler pulley had gone bad and seized up causing the belt to burn and shred. I called it junk but it may not be.

Do not buy this item. Purchased this mid Aug of 2024. Mounted it on my JD D130 and started to mow. Made a horrendous noise but seemed to work, checked all pulleys and brake, everything was ok. Proceeded to mow my yard. Put it away. Now it is Oct 10, 24 pulled out the mower and started to mow. After 30 minutes the deck started to shake and make an even worse sound. Turned the mower off only to find the belt had shredded. Do not buy, this is a total piece of crap. Will buy an original JD belt from now on.
