About this item

  • semi-auto rated
  • high heat suppressor cover
  • for all guns
  • Mirage and Heat Abatement Device

Rifles Only is excited about the HAD (Heat Abatement Device) Suppressor Cover. This cover works for both heat abatement and mirage. The HAD is a two part cover with an inner core and a replaceable outer sleeve, which is a bonus, and can take more heat than our MAD cover. The inner core will take up to 3000 degrees sustained. The outer sleeve will take up to 2000 degrees and is interchangable so that you can change the cover to go with the environment in which you are in...or even whatever mood you are in. The outer sleeve will hold up to semi-auto fire, rapid fire, and full auto fire. We recommend that you do not get crazy on your Mag dumps. The weakest part of this higher heat rated cover is it's outer sleeve that wraps around the inner core, however it can take semi-auto, rapid fire and full auto fire, with it's 2000 degree rating, keeping in mind even your suppressor does have a heat limit before failure. If you do push the cover too hard and have worn out the outer sleeve or it's been a while since your last HAD purchase and your outer sleeve is worn out, you can order just the replacement outer sleeves here on our website. Another great feature is that you can purchase the HAD outer sleeve as well as the MAD outer sleeve to work on the inner core and switch them out depending on what type of gun your suppressor is going on. The HAD is currently available in 5", 6", 6.5", 7", 7.5", 8, 8.5", 9" and 10". - We can/do make custom cover sizes (within reason). Any custom covers purchased are non-rundable and non-exchangable. The HAD covers will fit suppressors from 1.3" up to 2" in diameter. (obviously a little more snug on the 2" as the inner core will stretch slightly to slide over up to a 2" diameter suppressor). Once your HAD is installed you may need to re-tighten it after the first few uses as it can be stiff initially and hard to get tight and snug, however after use and "breaking it in" you can typically tighten the rope a little more to get it more snug. Please make sure to watch the installation video below and with your order to ensure you've properly secured the cover to prevent any shifting during use, and re-tighten as needed once broken-in. PLEASE MEASURE YOUR SUPPRESSOR BEFORE ORDERING. DO NOT USE THE MANUFACTURER SPECS OFF OF THE WEBSITE AS MANY TIMES THEY ARE END TO END AND INCLUDE THINGS YOU DON'T WANT TO COVER. IF YOU HAVE A QD MOUNT, OR A MUZZLE BRAKE/EXTERNAL BAFFLES AT THE FRONT, DO NOT INCLUDE THAT IN YOUR MEASUREMENT AS YOU DO NOT WANT TO COVER THOSE. *NEVER ORDER A COVER THAT IS LONGER THAN YOUR SUPPRESSOR, not even by .1"**, always round down on cover size when you're inbetween sizes. You do NOT want any overhangs! Available colors: Multicam, Coyote Brown, Black, OD Green, Black Multicam, Wolf Gray, Woodland M81, Desert Camo, and Ranger Green **SHIPPING NOTICE: ALL ORDERS PLACED ON OUR WEBSITE, AMAZON, OR ANY OTHER PLATFORM ARE FULFILLED BY RIFLES ONLY, INC. AND ALL ORDERS SHIP IN THE SAME TIME FRAME WHETHER ORDERED ON OUR WEBSITE OR AMAZON, HOWEVER WE DO OFFER BETTER DEALS ON OUR WEBSITE FOR PRICING, IF YOU CHOOSE TO ORDER ON OUR WEBSIT YOU WILL PAY LESS AND RECEIVE YOUR ORDER IN THE SAME TIME FRAME.**

Very high quality product. Expensive but i feel worth the extra $$$. Fits great with adequate adjustability. Get the right length because you dont want to cut or alter these Does not 100% eliminate mirage after about 30 rounds fired but no suppressor will. Still reduces mirage a lot with none up to 20-30 rounds.

Certainly rugged and with high quality materials. Very necessary on a PCC.

Got this for my brother-in-law. Fits perfect on this griffon 30.cal can. Looks great and isn’t super bulky like polymer shrouds. Offers good protection from a good range day. He absolutely loves it and it functions just like it should. No more burnt pants or hands!

Fits perfectly on my HuxWrx Flow 762 (6 inch). Put 150 rounds through it with some rapid fire. No heat mirage and the fiberglass inner layer held up to the heat. The “goop” finish on the fiberglass did not melt. Was able to touch my suppressor wearing only a Mechanix glove (could feel the heat though). One draw back is the added weight is noticeable, but there’s no getting around that if you want a quality wrap with well made materials. Installation is easy as well.

Using it on a HuxWrx 556K. It was reasonably priced. It stays put, and makes it so I don't have to worry about burning my leg during transitions. That's really all a guy can ask for.

I have several suppressor covers from several reputable companies. I run suppressed full time on most of my rigs so they all saw wear, tear and heat. Most have failed, some sooner than others. Typically they burn up or heat swell beyond useable. I ran this one on a live fire course today (~450 rounds). Install it properly, warm it up then re-snug it slightly. After that it stayed put and held up to the heat much better than any of my others. Worth every penny. A+.

I do you like this product? However I shot about 200 rounds in about 20 minutes time and the little black ring of the inside edges of the suppressor cover started to melt off and onto my suppressor. It made a mess and smelled bad and I had to clean it up well. I did leave a comment about that on their YouTube channel and they said it was the company that applies that coating to the inside of the suppressor cover. I don’t know who’s responsible, but either way, it’s their name on the product. I wasn’t too happy, but other than that I do like this cover.

I have tried several covers. This cover works great it holds up works great. Will hold up to rapid fire drills it eliminates mirage worth the money. I’ve had a few they fell short and melted also this one will not walk off the end of the silencer.
