I didn’t buy this as a needle felting pad , however , I’m sure it would do the job better than foam . I bought it as a travel mini iron pad , plus pin cushion to use for my textile art/ embroidery. I use it all the time , not only when travelling on holiday. I suppose it shows is versatility.
