Your cart is empty. The Haoge Lens Hood is primarily designed to prevent unwanted stray light from entering the lens by extending and shading the end of the lens, plus prevent vignetting. In addition, since the end of the lens is extended, you also get the added benefit of some extra protection from accidental impact.

The lens hood was weirdly reflective and speckled .. kinda defeats the purpose of a lens hood. Unfortunately, I ruined the box when opening, so I can't return it, but for the price, it's no big deal. I went with another off-brand that has a matte finish that I like a lot better

it's a better alternate option if you don't want to spent too much for a lens hood. fir's well on my lens.

Fits Canon EF-S 55-250mm IS STM lens perfectly, both in forward (use) and backward (storage) positions. If there are any advantages to spending 3x the money on the official Canon version of this lens hood, I'd like to know what they are.

Was a bit skeptical but the price was attractive and thought i’d give it a try. This ET-63 clone fits my 55-250mm F/4-5.6 IS STM lens perfectly. I also have an older version of the same lens which is the IS II, but that uses an ET-60 hood instead. So you’d want to check if you have the ET-63 compatible lens for this one to fit.

Fits my 55-250mm lens perfectly!! Not loose, feels secure on there.Note - the colour of the lens hood isn’t pitch black, if that matters to some people. It’s more of an off-black and has a speckled looking print on it (like tiny dots, if you zoom in on the picture you’ll see it) - this doesn’t bother me at all, but worth mentioning in case it bothers someone else.Overall I’m satisfied with my purchase, thank you! :)
