The shaft behind the button was slightly too large to fit in the panel hole. I couldn't be bothered to shave it down, so I just took the rubber insert (which I was missing) and put it into my old button. This button is a more modern design, with a PCB and a little LED that doesn't seem to light up.

I haven't used this yet as I just wanted a backup in case the original fails (which they are known to do after years of sitting). It looks just like the original and should be a good fit and function the same.
