Normally prefer 6 to 7 litrs of this cooker for Indian families. Good looking and no need of whistle as it is built in.

Difficult to put cover on and more difficult to remove. Thank goodness I tried it several times before using it to cook . The worst design I've seen.

Got its as a replacement for my old Prestige Pressure Cooker.Looks great and just as pictured. If I find any issues after using it for a while I will update this review, but I have seen it being used with many friends and family and no one had any issues that I know of as of now.Update : Years after use, this is by far the best pressure cooker money can buy. Period! :)

This is a great pressure cooker. It's heavier than most pressure cookers, but does the job well. The lid is tricky to put on (it even tells you so in the instructions!). The opening is oval shaped, so you have to turn the lid to the side and slant inward ([...] Because the lid is then essentially inside the pot, it creates a tight seal as pressure is pushing it up. I found it easy to clean. I recommend it.

This cook-gadget was recommended to me by my friend. She like it ,coz its faster to cook .I don't have 2 + hubby to feed... LOL . When I tried with just plain water, it was kinda scary, (I'm horrible cook anyways) even though it built like a tank...Anodized aluminum is way better that the most out there. So if ur okay with gadgets feel free = it's very well made.

The product is good Quality. Arrives nicely packaged. We mainly used it for Dal and Rice which is daily Indian staple. Make sure you buy 6.0 Liter or higher or compare height of pots you want to use. They should fit in and lid should close. The lid for these cookers (unlike prestige) needs to be inserted inside which is a tricky job. So you need some space on top after putting dal+rice together to add and close the lid. That is one thing you don't want to forget. I had to replace 5.0 liter version because of that.Second issue you will face (if you are using prestige before) is this one does not whistle. We were so used to listening and counting whistles to time the cooking before. This one needs to be timed. But then this is more energy efficient as you build-up and then maintain pressure at lower heat. You will get used to time part.Anodized coating is great.1) I hope Hawkins makes two changes. Blow alarm or add time whistle.2) Change the lid closing. It is very safe as you just can not open lid when cooker is pressurized but one needs to get used to closing it.Overall good product. Availability in US through Amazon instead of haggling at US local Indian market with no return guarantee is best part. Amazon replaced by 5.0 Liter version.

Bought this pressure cooker after reading so many reviews about how good it is. Its remarkably quiet, easy to use and clean, and have had NO issues with is since I bought it a few months ago. The lid takes some getting used to - have to angle it to put on/remove. On top of its functionality, it's a very pretty design and color. I was used to the cookers with the little valve/regulator up top and thought it'd be risky to try one with out it, but I was glad I did.
