Coil bent and damaged on both the 1st return and the replacement. Box badly damaged too, on both. But it works. So yay.

The price is high, but still much lower than the quote I received from pool companies. And it took me about 40 min to replace the broken one (following internet videos). Some fins on new exchanger were bent, but I straightened them. I also need to note the delivery time - got it in 2 days after ordering.

My pool guy was too busy to get to me and replace my heat exchanger. So I did some research on line and found out I could do the job myself. I ordered the Hayward Heat exchanger assembly on Amazon. It was delivered in about a week. In about an hour I had the old heat exchanger off and the new one installed. It works great and heated the water up in a few hours. Great product.

I was hesitant to buy this online. It's an expensive part for an expensive heater. Glad I did, though. It was a perfect replacement and not very difficult to install. It's been running well.

It arrived on time but some of the fins were damaged. Not worth returning but still for the price it should have been better packaged. I "called the guy" to install as it is n expensive part and had not done it before. Works well.

Hayward heaters work fine, just not very long and there warranty program stinks. Every failure is chem related according to hayward.

Exact replacement and saved $300.00 over local pool shop price. Installation was easy, just watch the wiring ... some temp sensors were in different locations, but, easy to figure out.
