If you need this for combat, I would not recommend, but you could use it in a pinch or as a last resort. However, this is excellent for if you hunt during the night. Camping/hiking, or just want to be a nosey neighbor. I liked that it comes with its own MicroSD card and USB reader for recording and taking shots, but don't expect anything more than a medium grade smartphone photography. This is fun to use for recreational purposes.

I had a low expectations for these based on the selling price but the build quality and night vision capability are really quite good. These will be a staple in my camping gear from now on.

This product does the job! The only reason I'm giving it a 4 star is because it shoots out a red light that is visible. The zoom has issues also.

These things are awesome. I used them outside with the moonlight, in a pitch dark attic, and just roaming around the house. The ability to see everything in clear detail was very surprising. The range on them were quite accurate based on its capabilities listed. The controls are a bit clunky and at times it seems some of the features don't work in the options. It also is a bit clunky. However, once you find the settings you need... just leave it and you'll have a great pair of night vision goggles.

I have wanted a decent night vision unit for some time and after looking around, finally decided that this was the one to get. I've been quite happy with it, especially at this price point. It's a great value considering all that it does without having to spend thousands of dollars on a top end military grade unit. While those might be fun to play with, I wouldn't think that most people really need anything like that. This unit seems to be rock solid in its build. The rubber shell fits snugly with no sign of slippage and provides a very positive grip. The buttons on top for adjustments are well-placed and it doesn't take long to really memorize which is which. The included case provides excellent protection for the unit while not in use and it a nice addition. It's nice that you can use it as a regular set of binoculars in the daylight and have the ability to take photos and video with it, while also able to use the same funcions in the night vision mode. Keep in mind, that with a 32GB limit for the Micro SD card, you won't be making videos all day/night. I have yet to test the limit on that capacity. The zoom is okay, but digital zoom quality does always diminish the further out you zoom (gets quite grainy), but let's face it... that's not what these are all about. If you want to really reach out during the day, get the proper equipment. While I would have liked to have auto focus, this thing is already packed with features, so I'm fine with the manual focus, which is a conveniently placed thumb wheel on the bottom of the unit. In a lot of situations, auto focus can sometimes be a pain anyway.Being a Night Vision unit, you'll obviously ned to power the unit. It does take 8 AA batteries, so keep that in mind, as it will add more weight to the unit. You do also have the option of powering it with an external battery, which is a nice feature. This night vision capability of this unit is actually better than I expected. We live in a very rural area and I took it out the first night we got it to test it out in an alfalfa field where deer graze in the middle of the night. This unit allowed me to see well over 200 yards out on a moonless night. It brought out the light very well without even using the adjustable power IR function, but I was actually surprised at just how much the IR light brought things into view.I was mildly hesitant to grab this unit just because I have had no experience with this technology before, but I will say that I have been very pleased with this purchase.

The binoculars work like a video camera which has no auto focus but excels better at night time viewing compared to daytime. When you look through it you are looking at an LCD monitor. The top buttons is how you navigate through menus. The color video mode is not impressive compared to the quality of a modern mobile phone. The nighttime is where it does it’s best and should be the main reason for having these. You are able to record videos and photos on an included 32 MB memory card. You may view it on the device, with a USB cable or by inserting the memory card into your computer. It lacks auto focus, has digital zoom and needs 8AA batteries. The focus is done by moving a knob under the left front of the unit. If you want to look at something in the background you will have to manual adjust the focus which may be a bonus if you have something in the front which might take the focus off your subject. The digital zoom image gets grainy as you zoom in. All in all good for night time viewing.Thank you for taking the time to read my review a photos of this product. I hope it has been helpful in providing you with more information.
