I’m pretty new to tennis and so I’m trying most things for the first time and making adjustments based on what I like and what I don’t. I hated that “ping” sound off the strings when I hit, and I also hated how the racket felt when I wasn’t making contact with the sweet spot and getting the corresponding negative feedback in the handle.This fixed the noise on the strings and made it sound more like a thud, which was enough for me. I also think it muted the feedback I got when hitting off center through the handle. I’m sure if you play, then this explanation is useless because this is what dampeners do. But for other beginners wondering, it made me love the way my racket feels when making contact. Happy that I bought it.Stays on my Head Speed MP (Head Velocity MLT strings) perfectly. Took me a few seconds to put on. Looks good on the racket. 10/10 for me.
