This unit can mount directly to your burner pan or use the included fittings to alter the position of the valve, offering versatility. This kit includes a 90,000 BTU Copreci valve rated for 300 degrees Fahrenheit. This unit features a rear inlet capable of connecting to a 3/8-inch male thread, a 3/8-inch female thread, or 1/2-inch male thread. An included swivel connector allows flexible mounting options. Includes vermiculite, propane air mixer, and pilot orifices necessary to convert from propane to natural gas. All though this setup is for a right hand burner( mine is left side), I mounted the valve upside down. It took a little thought but works fine. I had to add some bolts for "feet" to raise the burner pan to keep the valve from sitting on the brick. It came with all the neccessary fittings to make it work.

This seems to be a quality gas valve, not sure why gas log manufacturers make you buy the LP setup separately, but this works good. They provide an adjustable air oriface which helps you get a cleaner burning flame, but I have had problems with the oriface itself igniting after everything gets hot, which has led me to closing down the oriface completely, which in turn defeats its purpose

I spent over 5 hours trying to get this to work. The parts are cheap and the instructions are totally inadequate. Also it does not have all the parts need for a proper installation. Stay away

This safety pilot kit comes with a couple of various pipe adapters for various connections, a nice touch.Installed the unit into a gas-fired fireplace converted from wood, and it has been working just fine for the past month or so.Purchased essentially an identical unit several years ago, and that one continues to reliably operate as well.
