These are my favorite winter socks. They are warm, thick, and cozy. A small touch of luxury on a cold winter day. The one problem I was having with them was that the heels would develop holes in a month or two. Then I thought I remembered reading that one is not supposed to put them in the dryer. Since I started letting them air-dry, I have had no problem with the heels wearing out. So, definitely buy these. Just don't put them in the dryer!

These are the best socks I've ever had. They actually stay up. Most of the socks I've had always ended up halfway down my legs. They are nice and thick and very warm. You've got to try them. They won't disappoint.

these are so good. soooo good. nothing else i've ever tried for winter cycling has come close. HOWEVER, you will very likely need to size up your shoes by 1 size, especially if you're exercising in them. i have a separate pair of larger shoes i wear when i need these for a ride.

These are so awesome I have bought 6 pairs over time. I got hooked on these when a friend sent me some from Scotland. They are NOT cheap by any means, but they are thick—thicker than any socks I have ever seen. Not as dense as wearing three or four pair of white socks (you know the type) but just as thick. They are "fluffy" and make your foot feel like you are wearing fuzzy boots. They are super warn, but more important they just feel great. I like the "knee high" ones the best because every pair will shrink about 40% the first time you wash them, making these "tall ankle socks" not knee high. Anything smaller and you have booties (okay, low ankle socks). They make it hard to fit into work boots or cowboy boots but anything else is okay. You will have to loosen your shoelaces a bit to get these on but it is kind of like walking on clouds. I would put these up against any "shoe inserts" (e.g. Dr. schools) as far as padding for the bottom of your feet. The problem is that they are addictive and not cheap. Also, if you can hang them dry instead of putting them in the dryer, and warm or cold water wash them (thoroughly) you will save yourself the hassle of the major shrinkage factor.
