Your cart is empty.A heater core is a radiator-like device used in heating the cabin of a vehicle. Hot coolant from the vehicle's engine is passed through a winding tube of the core, a heat exchanger between coolant and cabin air. Fins attached to the core tubes serve to increase surface for heat transfer to air that is forced past them, by a fan, thereby heating the passenger compartment.

After spending hours removing the dashboard both of heater core pipes came loose from the heater core. I was unable to get either pipe back into the heater core without leaking antifreeze. OEM equipment came with a clamp system holding the pipes into the core.

Haven’t installed it yet but it’s identical to a factory unit. Most shops charge about one to two grand to install it, but there is a great YouTube video to show you how to install it from the dash for under a hundred bucks total. You need a foot of 5/8” heater hose and four hose clamps all available through Amazon. An oscillating cutter is a big help also.

I didn’t know at first the best way to change old is to leave them hook to coolant lines and cut them off under the dash match to new cut at same point put water hose to each line
