It requires 6 bolts that are included, I used a 20V power drill and the required 10 mm drill bit. Also included are two wrenches and an Alan wrench, these are small and I used my tools. I installed this in my garage but first I had to remove the sheetrock and reinforce the wall. It would have been easier to install a ceiling bag hanger. This hanger feels heavy duty, extends to 26 inches and that length will work for the bag I bought my 11-year-old grandson. The description states that this hanger can hold up to 800 lbs. I am not sure if I believe this to be the case and have no way of testing this. We are waiting for the boxing bag to arrive with the carabiner as a heavy-duty carabiner is not included. I will update my review after I see how well it holds a 200 lb bag professional boxing bag.

Purchased for my heavy bag but like the look and sturdiness of it and going to buy another to hang a hammock chair from it as well.
