These are going to work great for putting 4x4 posts for our carport in the ground in concrete. They are made well and should last a long time. Overall pleased

These post anchors have the qualities I look for: 1. The post bracket is made from thick steel. 2. Decent Welds 3. The 8" length of rebar helps keep the anchor secured in the concrete. 4. The cross bars help with stability too. 5. Actually fit a 4x4 post.

This is a solid set of four wood post bases. Hardware is included but as with most things you'll have to predrill the holes. No bend or give to top or lower section. Powder coating isn't chipped or peeling anywhere. Measurements match what's listed; will fit snug on a normal 4x4 post.

I am adding some 6x6 posts under my deck to reinforce it.These post base are great for that. They're very strong. And built very well. The extra long rebar will also allow me to put the wood post bottoms slightly above grade. As most modern deck builders recommend.

Very strong 6x6 wet set brackets. I used these wet set brackets to add a lean for my air compressor.

Yes I still have to dig a post hole to use these but it is much better than sinking the post into the ground. Either way you still have to use concrete. The post base is relatively expensive and recently I have some fence posts that are starting to rot at the bottom. I will coat the bottom of my 4x4 posts with an asphalt sealer (tar) so that water will not penetrate into the wood. I have found in the past if you install a two foot post first it is much easier to make sure that it level using corner levelers. Then when the concrete hardens remove them and install the 6 or 8 foot post.Whether you are building a deck, shed, pergola or setting a mailbox they are definitely worth it. I still add gravel to the bottom of the hole for better drainage. The top plate and sides should still last longer than just putting the post in the ground.

These post anchors are heavy and built of very sturdy metal. I am using them to secure the 4 corners of a smokehouse I am building. I was planning to pour a 4” concrete foundation, but the legs on these post bases are 8” long. As such, I will pour footers at each corner that are 10” so I can firmly set these bases in place. The end result is I will have a more solid foundation than I had planned which of course is not a bad thing. I love the finish on these post anchors and I appreciate that they come with the necessary hardware to install the posts onto the anchors. In reality these are probably overkill for my small building and they would surely be better used on a larger shed or workshop.

I needed something to hold the post for my new Little Library placed in service to my neighborhood. What does the job and then some. I have no worries that this will be accidentally pulled out in my lifetime. Pretty easy to install, good value for the money.
