Good quality - and fairly light weight. The problem I have with most locks is they get heavy and cumbersome. The lock is a good combo of weight vs security.

I got this lock to secure a set of steel double doors on a cabinet in the gym. It's super easy to use and made of quality materials. My son used it on his bike earlier, but now that it's cold out, we found an another use for it.Everything functions as advertised.

This is an imposing lock.. perfect to dissuade potential theft.. similar to big brand name lock.. with cable works well for locking to post or bike rack. Carry in a saddle bag as the included mount did not work on my Roadbike.

This is a super sturdy, heavily weighted bar lock with a coated thick wire wrap. I like the multiple secure pieces combined into one. The lock was a bit tricky, so I included a picture to show that the key hole has a small flip cover to keep it clean. Yes, I would recommend this bike lock, with a 5-Star rating for a quality product.

Knowing this is the longer version makes me glad I didn't get the shorter one. Shackling my bike to a rack or other sturdy anchor gives me peace of mind when I have to make a quick pit stop on a long ride. I haven't used the cable--seems a little odd to have something easily cut with bolt cutters alongside something meant to be cutter resistant. But it's there if you want to use it.

I've had u-locks and cable locks before but the Quadas U-Lock and Cable combination is a nice package. The U-Lock is really sturdy and key hole's dust cover is a nice touch. It does that a little finesse to slide the dust cover open though. In my experience, it worked best by placing your thumb to the side of the cover and push it open. If you tried to slide it open with you thumb on the top of the cover, you'll only frustrate yourself. The unit I received was missing one of the screws holding the dust cover down but it didn't affect the cover.I didn't give the unit 5-star review because I found the mounting bracket unusable. I tried it on 3 different bikes (1 road and 2 hybrids) and only place that I could mount it was on the seat post. I personally found it a bit annoying to have it mounted there while riding. Since I usually have a hydration backpack with me, if I need to carry the cable and lock, I'd rather have the weight on my back rather than on the bike anyway.

This is an excellent choice lock for keeping my bikes secure on my hitch mounted bike rack and for when I lock up the bikes downtown so we can walk and go out to the shops and restaurants. I feel the bikes are safe from theft with this lock. I got the long lock so it would fit around multiple bike frames at the same time, but it's not necessary, just simpler, because it also comes with the cable for wrapping around the bikes. I with the u lock was wider because it doesn't fit on my motorcycle wheel. Again, it's not completely necessary because it also comes with the cable, but that's just one more thing I have to carry on the bike. The u lock and cable are top notch quality. It's nice that it comes with three keys. The lock is easy to open and very secure. It does not feel like it could be pried apart or cut without some serious tools and time. I also like that the whole thing is waterproof so no worrying about rust.
