IGNORE the photos and make no false assumptions. THESE ARE RAW CUTS! They have had NO finishing work done. They haven't been deburred or tumbled. The are straight off the machine. They have rough surfaces and edges and finds sticking out all over.

The product image appears shiny as expected with stainless steel. But both discs have dull, grey surfaces and bits of rust around the edges. I wouldn't recommend it for contact with food.

I got these to mess around with lasering color onto steel. While my skill in that was lacking, these discs were not lacking. They are cleanly made, with good edges. They're also pretty heavy, so they are good solid steel.

Bought the 3 inch diameter by 1/4 inch thick disks. This is only 0.23 inch thick. The faces are deeply pitted with mill marks that are extremely difficult to remove. The photo shows an as-delivered disk next to another disk after an hour of polishing with heavy grit with the pits still there.

I concur with the other reviewer here. Dimensional accuracy is important in most applications. The 1/4" thickness is an estimation and the discs I received look just like the pictures in the other review. They are pitted and rough around the edges. The images in the description are apparently modified to make the surface appear fine. It makes me wonder if it is just a surface issue with pitting, or if the steel is porous all the way through.
