I wanted to get away from the charge controller on my wind generator. I wanted to control the braking on my own. The winds here are too high and the controller braking just burns up my generator. With this rectifier on a heat sink and a fan I can run higher winds which equals higher currents without worrying about burning up the generator. My dump load takes care of any over voltage. I am putting in another generator. The first thing I did is order anther one of these rectifiers, heatsink and fan. Then threw out the charge controller.
