Since there have been recalls of some fruits and vegetables, I like to have the option of cleaning them myself. For my purposes, this works better than a diluted bleach attempt to clean produce. It is compact so it’s easy to store between uses. I have a room size ozone machine and I actually like the smell of the room air afterward. I only detect a mild odor from this product. Plus it is safe to use. It won’t harm plants, animals or humans. I’m not a traveler however I do see the value of having this in an unfamiliar place.

As with any ozone generator, you should use this in a more well ventilated area, as ozone on it's own can cause respiratory irritation. The bonus of running the generator in your room is you wind up with both ozone water, as well as purification of odors in the area. Yes the ozone is getting in the water, but those bubbles coming out are also filled with ozone, meaning the surrounding area is getting ozone as well. This ozone bubbler is pretty easy to set up, I do recommend reading the instructions as attaching the tubing to the stone can be a bit finicky (as well as safety precautions). This generator is pretty solid and durable, and something that can stand up to the rigors of daily use and cleaning. Once you get it set up, its very easy to use - select the disinfection time and get going. We found this very useful for a wide range of applications.1) When soaking store bought fruit in the ozone water for about 15 minutes, we found they lasted a week in the fridge, vs only a few days for the control group. It did a great job of killing any mold on the surface of the fruit and helped to preserve it for longer.2) We go camping a lot, and having "smokey" teen-sweat smelling clothes usually takes a while to get the funk out. Soaking the clothes in ozone water for about 10 minutes was enough to neutralize the smell and meant we didn't have to use heavy detergent. It also worked great in getting the smell out of our bath towels. As an added bonus it helped clear out the musky smell in the washing machine. It's a great ozone machine for the money as it can both purify the room, but also does great to help sterilize and clean things. Just remember to ensure the area is well ventilated when using (or wait 30 minutes after running it to allow the ozone to dissipate).

This high-output ozone bubbler promises to be a versatile tool for purifying both water and air, and after examining its features, it appears to offer a good amount of functionality for its intended purposes. Here's a breakdown of its strengths and potential weaknesses:Pros:* High Ozone Output: The cornerstone of this device is its significant 1000mg/h ozone output. This is a substantial amount of ozone, allowing for rapid and effective cleaning of water and air, especially in enclosed spaces. This high output makes it suitable for tackling strong odors and sanitizing larger volumes of water.* Dual Purification with Negative Ions: The inclusion of a negative ion generator, claiming to produce 18,000,000 pcs/cm³, is a welcome addition. While the actual impact of this negative ion generation in practical terms is debatable, the potential for enhanced odor reduction and a 'forest-like' atmosphere is appealing to some users. The combination of ozone and negative ions theoretically offers a more comprehensive approach to air purification.* User-Friendly Touch Screen Control: The touch screen interface and adjustable timer (0-60 minutes) provide a simple and intuitive user experience. The ability to precisely control the operating time is essential for different applications, preventing over-ozonation and potential discomfort.* Multi-Purpose Application: The versatility of this ozone generator is a major selling point. Its ability to be used for both water and air purification expands its potential applications significantly. From sanitizing food and vegetables to deodorizing bathrooms and basements, this device aims to be a one-stop solution for various cleaning needs.* Potentially Useful for Specific Applications: Mentioning applications like 'Hunting' and 'Cold Plunge' suggests targeted use cases. For hunters, ozone can be used to eliminate human scent on clothing and gear. For cold plunge enthusiasts, it could potentially help sanitize the water.**Cons and Considerations:*** Ozone Safety: This is the most crucial aspect. Ozone is a powerful oxidizer and can be harmful to human health if inhaled in high concentrations. The product description lacks explicit warnings or safety guidelines regarding ozone exposure. **Users MUST exercise extreme caution and ensure proper ventilation when using this device.** It should never be used in occupied spaces and should only be operated according to safety instructions (which ideally should be prominently included).* Negative Ion Effectiveness: While the number of negative ions generated sounds impressive, the actual benefits and impact on air quality can be subjective and vary depending on the environment. The effectiveness of negative ions in general is a topic of ongoing scientific debate.* Durability and Longevity: The materials used in construction and the overall build quality are not mentioned. The long-term durability of the device is unknown and is a factor to consider.* Missing Information: The product description lacks details on the bubbler specifications (e.g., material, size, air stone quality). More technical information would be beneficial for informed purchasing decisions.Overall:This high-output ozone bubbler appears to be a powerful and versatile device for purifying water and air. Its high ozone output, negative ion generation, and user-friendly interface are attractive features. However, the **crucial safety considerations related to ozone exposure cannot be overstated.** Potential buyers should thoroughly research ozone safety protocols, ensure proper ventilation, and adhere strictly to the manufacturer's instructions (if provided) before using this device. More comprehensive safety information and detailed specifications from the manufacturer are highly recommended. While it has potential, responsible and informed use is paramount.NIH Notes on Ozone, from their website:* Ozone, confirmed as a disinfectant agent by U.S. Food and Drug Administration in 2001.* Ozone, being used widely in food industry, is a non-toxic and strong antimicrobial agent (Whangchai et al. 2006), and can safely be applied to fruit and vegetables as gaseous or dissolved in water.* ...It has been tested for postharvest treatments in fruit and vegetables, and found to have positive effect on the storage life and quality* Similarly, some pesticides such as malathion, diazinon, atrazine, bromoxynil and trifluralin were oxidized by ozone for decomposition or degradation in aqueous solution.* ....pesticide residues on fruit could be removed efficiently by washing with water, in which ozone was dissolved using micro bubbles system. Authors recommended this method, because the micro bubbles, bigger than 50 µm, rise slowly to the surface of water and the gas inside is dissolved in water completely. Therefore, we used micro bubbles system to dissolve ozone in cold water in the present study.More info on their website concerning Ozone.Good enough for me. 5 stars.

Okay, I've never used an ozone generator, and was very curious about how it helped to rid pollutants, so I did some additional research. More than clearing the air, I was curious about how it would clean certain vegetables, being that I'm ketovore, and believe that much of the sensitivity to fruits and vegetables had to do with what's been sprayed on them and how well they can be cleaned. I'm sorry to say that I'm not assured that this "generator" is very effective at this, based on what I've read.An ozone generator should run about 3 to 8 hours, depending on the room size. To treat a whole house will take 25 to 30 hours of continuous operation to rid the air of most pollutants. You need to vacant the home while the ozone generator is operating and wait about 4 hours to allow the ozone to become breathable oxygen.Ozone will remain in the air for 1 to 4 hours before the ozone will become breathable oxygen. It is recommended you wait 4 hours before returning to the home to allow the ozone time to dissipate. Please note, the ozone generator will kill airborne contaminants but not the source of the problem. The research is a little more favorable in its use on vegetables and fruits, but even then there are factors that affect the level of sanitization on such foods.Looking at all I'd have to do in order to use this machine, I'm going to give it 3 stars, but it looks well-made, and is well-supported by the company.
