  • This is a fully manual lens with no electric contacts. When mounted, your camera will not detect the lens. You need to set your camera to Manual "M" mode.

  • You may switch your camera to M mode or you may turn off the shutter lock option in the menu to make it work.

  • You need to rotate the focus ring on the front body of the lens until the subject is in focus. You also need to focus with live view to achieve accurate focus. It is recommended to use a tripod and remote for stability when taking photos.

After doing some research I decided to go with this lens. Made of quality material. Lens can only be used in manual mode. Would definitely recommend!

I started in photography over 5 decades ago. In that time I came to associate the name VIVITAR with high quality, economical alternatives to the expensive camera offerings. This lense is NOT representative of my expectations from VIVITAR. Focus? Terrible!Quality? Lense WOBBLE. I don't expect this from VIVITAR. Declining quality will be the company's downfall.
