Everything you need down to the USB cable in this kit so you can quickly do a 1 player setup with buttons and a joystick which you need to get separately.Very handy kits to have in your spares collection.

Tried using 2 on a 2 player cabinet with recalbox on a raspberry pie.Sadly it wouldn’t work for 2 player, could only get it to work with 1 set of controls.

Using this to retro fit a classic arcade cabinet. Gutted the CRT chassis and power supply. Running retro pie and a 24 inch modern monitor, mini USB powered amplifier to factory speaker and you're done. Hook the OEM joy stick and buttons and coin drop switch to this encoder...good to go.

I purchased this board for an old American style fighting game stick used for MvC2 and Street Fighter games played on Fightcade. The cables and board were super easy to install, but I immediately noticed significant input lag using the stick for a couple days. Lots of dropped inputs and misses on moves/specials etc. Researching some more and found a breakdown of controller lag (https://inputlag.science/controller/results) with this board scoring poorly. If you're a major fighting game player or can't take delay, I'd recommend getting one of the Brook boards. I replaced the "zero delay' board with Brook's Zero Pi Easy board (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09637ZPSF/) and it's light years better for only ~$15 more in price. I'd personally recommend getting that board instead of this.

I’m only using it for a USB button box interface for my simulator game but, for that purpose, it works great!

I used these encoders to mod an Arcade1Up cabinet (SFII). This package seemed like a bargain, considering it came with all of the cables one would need to wire up Sanwa sticks and the Happ buttons I opted for, at nearly the same price of an encoder alone. While the cables seemed a bit short for the buttons near the edges of the control panel, I was able to make it work without needing additional cables, and I have been pleased with the performance of the kit for several months since the install. I would highly recommend this kit to anyone looking to mod a cabinet, and will go this route if I pick up another cabinet in the future.

This worked exactly as expected... which is pretty amazing given the price. I was expecting it to be iffy, but its a great kit for building a controller or arcade stick (or even custom input device) for PC, an emulator cabinet etc.
