I use this in a tree near my fire pit, and it holds a rechargeable lamp, giving a bit of additional light around the fire pit. It installed in about 30 seconds and seems to be holding up fine to the weather.

This shelf was perfect for holding the battery backup for my trail cam. It is strong, easy to install and the right price! Fits perfect up in the tree and doesn’t take up much space. It definitely serves its purpose.

In 40+ years of duck hunting, this has to be the best waterfowl accessory I’ve ever purchased. I hunt in flooded timber and there’s never a good place to set things while leaning against a tree. It’s so nice to have a place to set a coffee mug. I’ve used it 20+ days this year and it’s held up well. Best Amazon purchase in a long time. I bought some extras to give to my buddies.

This small shelf is the perfect size for holding a portable Thermacell unit. The screw is large and sturdy, though not extra sharp. I used a screw-in step with a much sharper and more sturdy screw to make a starter hole and then screwed the step into that hole. It doesn’t appear in the manufacturer’s photos there’s much of a lip, but there is, so it would also hold smaller items like a bleat call and you wouldn’t have to worry about them rolling off it. Just keep in mind it’s pretty small. Meaning the Thermacell fills it, so I couldn’t put my Thermacell and a bleat or grunt call on it at the same time. Overall pleased with it.

Very happy about this purchase this year. Used it all season. Holds my thermos cup once I fill it with coffee. This year I shot my biggest buck and was able to sit my coffee down on this shelf and watch the buck come into range. I feel like this could be sold for $5 but overall I’m happy

I didn't give this item a single star because its actually a pretty amazing addition to any tree stand. Perfect for phone and other items*, and the D ring is perfect for hanging my backpack. Truly a fantastic product theoretically. However I only installed this shelf twice and the screw sheared off inside the second tree rendering it useless. Pretty disappointing. Regardless, I'm going to buy another one cause there doesn't seem to be another one available. Ill just be more cautious in use. If the next one breaks maybe HME will sponsor me?

Handy as a button! Screws in easily as the shelf gives you a lot of torque. Thought I might use the included carabiner as a place to hang my hunting pack, but not sure if it will handle the weight - going with a bike hanger instead for the pack but will use the carabiner for my binoculars.
