Bought this for bow hunting season, right away the tiny hook bent and the powder coat chipped. Then once screwed into tree the base is wider than the threads making it “bottom out”. I only had my bow on it and was constantly watching to make sure it wasn’t failing. Definitely better options out there.

In this case I don’t think the “bang for your buck” out weighed the value for me.I was surprised that some of the reviewers said it screwed I into the tree with ease… I had to really apply some force to get it to “bite.” In the end I used an extra tree peg to pilot a hole and screw the hanger Into the tree.It seems that the treads have a really low profile design.Everything else regarding the hanger worked as intended.

This thing works great! I was totally surprised how easy it went in and STAYED in, even with my bow hanging on it.Another thing I liked is the unit folds compact and is pretty light. I'd definitely buy it again.Note: I used mine the first time this morning. I stood facing the tree and screwed the unit into the L/S, 90 deg from the stand side(I'm righty).I sat down, extended the arm and hooked the bow on. When I adjusted the unit to a comfortable angle, the arrow was facing into me. No big deal. I'm just saying, you need to choose the correct location to mount the unit for optimal bow placement.Buy it and use it.UPDATE: used 'er a bunch of times and all's good. Great accessory.

Screws into tree very easily. Strong enough to hold backpack (close to tree) and my bow (at the end). Length is also good. Get a couple because you'll leave them in the tree like I did.
