Well, I couldn’t wait to write this review. I just received my Hobie sunglasses not 10 minutes ago and I just love them! I have worn black polarized wrap around Hobie sunglasses for thirty years ( yes 30 years ) and I finally decided to purchase another pair because the lens’ were becoming quite cloudy and a little difficult to see through especially while driving. The fit is perfect, they stay in place and the frame is totally invisible even peripherally. Hobie’s are the best!! I bought the brown wood grain frame with copper lenses just because I was tired of black. Hope these glasses last thirty years also but then that would make me 100 years old if they do. I’ll review again at that time. I’m 5’2” and 118 pounds. They fit me and my husband so male or female they still fit great.

very comfortable, attractive, and good quality. Would buy again. Did not want to spend $200 on other well known brands and felt that this hobie brand was also a well known and dependable brand that would not cost an arm and a leg. The minute my husband put them on he could tell that they were better quality than the cheaper ones he had purchased. these will definitely work and my husband looks very handsome in them

Glasses fit great. I love the lighter lens shading so it's not too dark when it gets a little overcast.

After breaking a very expensive pair of Smith optics I could not afford to replace and going through four different pairs of Smith optics with all of them being returned I decided to give these glasses a try and I could not be more pleased. If fits my big head does not touch my long eyelashes and the lenses are just as good as Smith optics if not better. They fit perfect and I don’t feel pressure on my bridge. I am positive I have found a new brand of sunglasses. I love the true copper tint it is nice and subtle and really reduces the glare!!! If you have eyes that are sensitive to the light these work perfectly.

Update: I have changed this review to indicate 5-stars. You're not going to believe this. I emailed Hobie Customer Service to ask them if I could buy a replacement lens for the scratched Venice's I replaced. They immediately emailed me back noting that they don't have replacement lenses for them, but they would create an RSA for the Venice's and that upon my return, they would send me a code for 50% off of a new pair. I promptly emailed them back and noted that it was my abuse of the glasses that caused the scratches. This was their response:"That’s amazing right?! We love our customers! And instead of punishing you for anything that may have happen to the sunglasses while wearing them we celebrate the fact you still want to use our brand. Thank you for being our customer."This is unbelievable customer service in my opinion. For this reason alone I would give Hobie 10-stars if I could.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------These are great glasses. I truly love them, but I'd make a few changes if I could. Here's some thoughts:Pros:- The price compared to other "high end" glasses is great. I was able to find them for $49, and this, I feel, is an exceptional deal.- Weight. This is why I bought these. I have an older pair of Hobie Venice that have scratched lenses and needed a replacement. They are like clouds sitting on your head, they're so light, so I sought out these Cabos (don't make Venice and more) with the hopes that they are just as light as their predecessors. They ARE!- I like the vermilion lens with the green reflective coating. I think they look quite stylish. And I should know, as my wife says I have absolutely zero style capabilities in my life.- Other users reported that the Hobie name in the upper corner of the lenses was distracting to the eye. I thought I'd give them a try anyway since I love my Venice's so much. I found no such distraction and can't even see the writing when trying.- Although I've never called on it to see how good they are, Hobie does tout their lifetime warranty.Cons:- I feel like the earpieces squeeze my head more than the Venice's. Hence the removal of one star. I wish they were slightly looser. If I was feeling crazy, I might try to heat up the arms and bend them slightly out, but I really don't want to break them. I have a fat head!Overall, I love these glasses and would highly recommend them. I love the lenses and the frames are amazingly light.I hope I have helped your purchasing decision of this product. Optical clarity is very good. Glare reduction is great with these mirrored lenses. They seem well-made and are comfortable for me.Why not 5 stars? Because Hobie put their damn logo on the lens, where it is actually in your field of view in some cases. On a couple of occasions I took them off to wipe the 'smudge' off the upper corner of the lens, only to realize it was their printed logo I was seeing. I have since learned to ignore it. However, it is tacky and kills any style value of the glasses. Luckily I bought these for outdoor sports and work and don't care about looking stylish when I'm doing these things. Hipsters, look elsewhere for your shades.

I bought a pair of Hobie Venice sunglasses at Costco a year ago. I loved them like a fat kid loves chocolate cake. But, like all things I love, I sat on them and broke them. So, I thought about getting something different. I started off ordering a pair of Suncloud sunglasses. I tried them on and immediately noticed that the frames rested on my cheeks. I took them back and got a pair of Under Armor Impulse sunglasses at Costco. The lenses were awesome, but the frames rested on my my cheeks. I returned them and got a pair of Spy Baron sunglasses at Costco. Wore them for two days and they gave me a headache because they were too heavy. So, I returned to Hobie. The Cabo are the same frames as the Venice. I bought them in Shony Tortoise Frame/Copper Lens because my Venice were black. I tried them on and now I realize why I love the Hobie sunglasses. They don't touch my cheeks, are wrap arounds, great polarized lenses, have spring hinges, light weight, look cool and are the most comfortable sunglasses ever. I'm glad my sunglass hunt/odyssey is over and I wish there were more sunglasses that don't touch your cheeks.
