I would like to give this product 1 star but it did in fact transition. My film registered 21% after 30 minutes of direct sunlight exposure. I purchased the 16 to 60 percent. With that said, this film offers no protection from UV rays or IR light. I independently tested the film using the Nextav UV detector which produced the same result as my non-tinted glass.

I purchased this tint and applied it to my car. As seen by the pics the first pic is as dark as it gets then the second is from complete dark. Obviously it isn't 16% at its fully darkened state so I don't recommend. Just get it professionally done and get 15% below legal amount. Not worth the stress and struggle all for an illegitimate photochromic effect.

Definitely does darken a bit more in sunlight. It is a dry install and backed with an exceptionally sticky adhesive. This stuff is one time installation - removing it and replacing leaves terrible sticky adhesive patterns all over the film that are near impossible to remove, so the sheet is essentially destroyed.

used the soapy water method when installing this film, and it went on like a charm!Just know that it works best if you can get it as close to the correct size beforehand. If you look at the image, you can see where the sun is not hitting the film yet and can see the photochromic effect in work. (don't mind the dirtiness. that's outside the window)I will definitely be getting more of this to do the rest of the windows on my western-facing wall.not 100% heat blocking, but it does definitely cut down quite a bit of the heat getting through.
