A friend of ours surprised us with a visit so of course we took out the blow up mattress (with box spring) That was very comfortable. But the very next day this futon mattress arrived. I asked her to try it with the kids. It turned out great! It's definitely soft.It was large enough for mom, a 4yo and and infant. Pretty nice.I did try putting a fitted sheet on it but that just wouldn't stay attached. So if I had one negative thing to say it would be that you can't protect it, however the next night I used a California king sheet and that helped. It's the fitted that won't work well.I like this. It's right on the floor (carpet) so I didn't have to worry about the cats getting caught up underneath like the blow up bed (frame part)I couldn't get it to roll up as conveniently as it came, but I kinda knew that was going to happen. I fit it into a trunk so it shouldn't be a problem for me.My only concern would be just that you cant really protect it from getting dirty or picking up cat hair and that's going to take it's toll. It's too big to have to keep wiping it down or spot cleaning.Basically, it does what it should, I'm just not sure it's good for the long haul.So I'd recommend it for sure - but with those few bits I mentioned. You'd have to weigh all that for yourself.

This came all vacuum packed, and I was worried that it wasn’t going to be very fluffy. Well, it was pretty fluffy when we unrolled it, and I fluffed it up a little by hand to help it expand a bit. When I laid it on a carpeted floor, it was fairly comfortable. I could see it breaking down if you laid in the same spot all night. On a hardwood floor I wouldn’t even try this. We got it to use as a topper for an air mattress. It works perfectly on top of that and our guests are very comfortable. We just used it this last weekend and no complaints. I love that ties up and you can stow it under a bed if you need to.It seems very well-made and breathable.My guess is if you had children who wanted to have a friend sleepover, they would be more comfortable than a full-grown adult.All in all, I think that you’d be happier using this as a topper or on a thicker carpeted floor.

We have more guests coming this summer than we have needs at the same time, and we don't really have the room for a property mattress bed that would just take up space the rest of the year, so the HOMBYS Futon Mattress seems like a great for for our situation, because while it expands to a full size futon matters it can be filled into a smaller log for storage, not quite the size it came in but much better than a spring mattress.The futon itself is firm like most futons and doesn't have a lot of give to it, fluffy it is not but it's definitely supportive and better than sleeping on carpet or hardwood floors, even with a sleeping bag. Having slept on it for a few days now I can say it requires some adjustment coming from a sister need but by the third day I felt pretty good waking up. I don't know that I want to sleep on this all the time, but for temporary use it's quite decent. Best to use it with sheets unless you have access to a large commercial washer.

I love how soft and comfortable this mattress is. I have this over my sectional so I can rest more comfortably when I need a nap. It was easy to roll out and let air out to fluff more for a couple of days. Even on the floor where I tested it first, it was comfortable. It is a good option to have because it is small, soft, and easier to fold away than an air up mattress. This does not come with a sheet or blanket to lay over this mattress, so I do recommend having one on hand prior to use if you have pets, kids, or guests who will be using this since it is too large to use in your home washers.

We got this so we could sleep downstairs when the summer weather arrived. While I wouldn’t call it fluffy, it does provide enough cushion, so that sleeping on the floor is not too uncomfortable. It certainly does increase in size after removing it from the packaging. We started using it after letting it sit out for 3-4 days as the instructions recommended. It's quite thick and the material is stiff since it's a futon, and it won't be rolled into the small size it came in in the delivery because that was vacuum packed. My only worry is that I can't think of a great way to clean it so I will have to make sure to use it with other sheets/blankets on top/bottom of the futon. Still I think it's solid for the price and we will make good use of it to stay cool during summer.

Futón es completamente plano, para nada son 10 CM de grueso. Parece una cobija, no se puede usar así

We slept on tatami mat floors in Japan and this is exactly the type of mattress we slept on. So healthy for our backs! As 45, slightly overweight people, we need all the help we can get. We do like firm mattresses, and this is it. Takes a few days to get used to. Think camping mattress crossed with a futon is you've never been to Japan.
