Step1
Rotate the bottle for circles with foil cutter to cut off the foil seal
Step2
Hold the wine bottle firmly, keep bottle in line with opener, place cork into the opener
Step3
Press under botton, the spiral will turn in the cork and remove it out in 6-8s
Step4
Press upper botton, the cork will automatically come out in 5-7s

After trying a few others, this opener is a keeper - after one 8-hour charge it is still pulls corks with vigor, does not bog down, even wioth synthetic composite corks from overseas. Iyt remains strong while daily pulling corks nearly 40 days after that first charge. Other chargers were just wimpy, sluggish and were returned. Obvioualy I am very pleased with this unit. This unit keeps me from needing to continue searching for great performing units.
