Almost easy installation. Hardest part is attaching the downstream end. No room for fingers. It's unnecessary to take anything apart. I removed only the wheel. Tie some dental floss to the rectangle and use it to guide it to place.

My Honda sell propelled Mower had lost all of its speed and researching the problem stated the likely cause was a bad drive belt. But upon inspection, I found that the control cable was frayed, which is much easier to replace than the drive belt. After replacing it the mower ran like new.

Perfect Honda OEM partI looked up the parts on parts tree but with shipping it was cheaper here.On my unit I could not pull it back. The transmission would not fully disengage, it was because the cable was rusted/frayed and you could hardly move the cable at all, the way to diagnose this to manually move the transmission with a screwdriver. 2 lawn shops said the transmission was shot...obviously they were wrong. Super happy, 25 bucks and it works like new.
