This is a great tool for sewers since we are always dropping those pins. It is hard to pick up these little things without sticking myself.

PRO: Good construction overall and decent length.CON: Only the sides of the magnet is magnetized not the tip/end . Magnet dont seem to be all that strong.It will work , it will do what its intended to do but wish the end was magnetized

The magnet is weak. It pretty much has to touch the object before it picks it up. I was hoping for a stronger magnet.

Is great to use in my sewing room where pins/needles get dropped in various and hard to reach places. The telescopic feature makes it easy to store and perfect for reaching behind my sewing and/or ironing stations.

I really liked the idea of a telescopic magnet, the ability to pick up a pin or needle in a tricky spot. However, this was not the case here. The telescopic part worked well, not a problem. The magnet, however, was much too weak to pick up a single needle. In fact, the magnet did not stick out at all and could not catch anything. A weak magnet and completely recessed, as well. Frustrating and confusing.

This works really well for for sticking behind my machine in my table when pins fall back there. No more having to take my machine out to retrieve those pins. It folds up to a reasonable size .
