These do what I want, provide some lock to the hood. Though standard style circle lock, it's not free access to under the hood for the baddies. They clamp pretty darn snug, and I think the gaskets for the lower portion should be thicker. One side hits the hood just a tiny bit before closing. could lead to rust issues over time. Also, the lock nuts did not come with washers. I ended up using the factory washer/nuts instead as I didn't have any washers handy. I'll be grabbing some washers over the weekend to switch to the lock nuts for good measure, though I suspect the factory ones are just fine.

Everything would have been great but the package for the hardware was missing the lock nut for the main latch.

These are amazing, I didn't feel safe people having the ability to get under my hood and since I got these I don't worry. They are very durable, easy to install, and give a great look to my jeep! I definitely recommend.

Took about 15mins on each side. A little different than the fitted ones I had, but they lock and look good.

Hood spacers are to small so I have to hold my hood to the side when latching down but that’s not to big of a deal oh yea also wasn’t bad to install like I said though the lock is a common circle key so I wouldn’t think it’ll be perfect is someone really wants ur stuff but still 5 star for me I live on the west side and that says it all theft is a big problem and everything on my Jeep now locks now all I need is a cat lock 🤣

Easy to install and look great. They are a little hard to unlatch only because there is not a good way to grab them to open them up. Maybe a knurl on the sides or grit spot to get ahold of it when trying to open?Great sturdy product though and I would buy it again.

Like nearly every other Jeep owner, I was concerned that my hood wasn't locked. And since there has been an increase in vehicle break-ins and catalytic converter thefts in my area, I had to find something to provide a little more protection. My choice came down between this product and the BOLT lock. I discovered that the BOLT lock is easily bypassable, so this product was a natural choice. It was really easy to install, you'll just need a 10mm socket or wrench, a 13mm wrench, and an Allen key(Don't remember what size). If you're like me and don't have a 13mm wrench, you can use a 1/2 inch instead, but it's a really tight fit around the bolts.I also advise having some cleaning products on hand. You might want to clean the surface after you remove the stock latches, as they are a little wider than these are, so some of that old dirt under the old latches will be visible if you don't clean it.Once installed, they are pretty sturdy, so I feel confident that my engine compartment is safe from at least the majority of would-be theives.
