I don’t like the idea that it does not fit flush against the trailer. So you will have to call around it because it does not fit flush.

Well I replaced the leveling unit with a new one, the old one works better than the new one, I replaced it cause the old one was faded, the new one does not stop where it should if you are perfectly level there is only one place the roller should stop, instead it is off kilter I ordered two more and they were the same, I put the old one back on and it zeroed dead on, I believe that there is a problem with manufacturing so now I have the old one back on, by the way the old one is the same brand. I feel the company needs to look into this problem.

Mount this level to the front driver's side of your trailer so you can see it in your truck mirror. At your campsite, drive back and forth until the ball is centered, and that's it. End-to-end leveling it easy, just crank up the tongue jack for that. Side-to-side involves blocks under the tires which is a hassle. If you do have to use blocks, then you can still see the leveling as you pull the trailer up onto the blocks. As to leveling an RV: remember the critical thing for RV fridges is SIDEWAYS to the fridge as you face its door. A refrigerator along a sidewall means end-to-end leveling is critical. A fridge on a bulkhead means side-to-side is critical. The tubing runs across the back of the fridge, and the ammonia mixture needs to flow easy. If its tilted even a few degrees, the mixture collects at the ends and can't flow properly.

I have installed these leveling indicators on my last three travel trailers, on the front where I can see in my rearview mirror. When I see that the trailer is level side to side, I unhitch and level front to back. Works every time!

I ordered this black Hopkins Rear View Level to replace an eight year old white one that wasn't functioning. Installation was easy as I used the existing holes on the front of my RV.

Went to install level on front of trailer. Tried to hold it level to mark for screw holes. Ball would "stick" in one spot. Needed to tilt it 3 or 4 degrees to loosen it up. It would them do the same thing in another position. This happened multiple times. It would never work on the trailer like this. I am tossing it and getting another brand. There is also no allowance for "leveling" the level once it is installed. The screw holes have no adjustment so you'd better get it in the exact right place on the first try or you will have extra holes in your RV.

Bought this for my RV and I LOVE it! I can view it clearly from my vehicle's backup camera and do not have to get out of the rig. Though it has a small forward to rear level which you can view while unhitching, my RV has a aerodynamic curved front so this additional feature is no value to me. But overall it's BIG and works Beautifully!
