Begin a braid.

step 1

From the bottom of the tailbone and middle of the tail, separate a one-inch section of hair and divide it into three sections. Begin a braid.

Slip the tail loops through the hair in the middle section

Slip the tail loops through the hair in the middle section, and continue to braid the hair.

Once you've braided about six more inches, secure the braid with a rubber band.

Finish by wrapping the braid and top of the fake tail with a few rounds of electrical tape.

Bought this for my filly to encourage her to keep her tail down. Its working well for what i wanted. Its pretty short shes only 14” and definitely not too long for her so if you have a tall horse it wont work. Seems good quality

It was beautifully packaged. The craftsmanship is excellent with flawless straight shinny tail hairs assembled securely. The braided horse hair loop at the end is a very nice touch.

I was apprehensive ordering this tail because it’s cheap and some reviews said it was too thin. I don’t think it’s thin at all! It looks very natural on my OTTB. If you’re going for the ridiculous huge fake tail look then this won’t work but if you just want to add some length and fullness, this is perfect.

This is going back immediately. I saw this and have been wanting to buy her a tail for a while and thought it was perfect, but it looks nothing like the pictures on the ad. It’s bright yellow instead of a dark cream and is about half the thickness of my 3/8 lb tail that I bought for my other horse. You’d be better off to buy a long cosplay/costume wig for $20-30 and wrap it in vet wrap.
