This is a must if you want to avoid nails in your tires after replacing your roof. I use this rolling magnet to insure I don’t miss loose nails in the driveway. It’s simple to use just pass back and forth over the area you want to clear of steel nuts, bolts, nails and much more.

I love the magnet portion of this kit. It's heavy duty with a solid metal base. The handle is a little questionable for such a nice tool. It comes apart into 3 pieces for storage, but it's a little on the thin side. I can see this being thrown in the back of a truck and bending the handle. Also, the instructions on putting it together are awful. It's not rocket science, but it comes with 2 wheels, several bolts, washers, lock washers, lock nuts, a wing nut.... Yeah, luckily, I'm handy and figured it out with no problem. Someone not as handy....probably wouldn't be buying this, but you never know. It has a metal lift that disengages the magnet and is solid.

A friend has a similar magnetic pickup roller but his is designed so that the sides pull out and becomes something like 30 inches wide. I like that roller a lot more because it's much easier to sweep a driveway or patio with the wider tool. My friends roller is the five star one. This one only gets four.Other than the width, I have no complaints. The magnets are strong and have pulled a lot of nails, staples, and other things off the ground. It even did OK on grass.

I am all the time finding screws and bolts on our property, especially in our driveway. Last year I lost a screwdriver/wrench combination for my chainsaw when it fell out of my pocket while trimming around the edge of our property. So I was excited to try this out today.First of all, the assembly instructions are horrible. That is the only reason I didn't give it five stars. There is one 8.5" x 11" sheet printed on two sides, giving you four pages of 5.5" x 8.5" to work with. One page just shows the name of the tool and the model number, along with the manufacturer. Another page is just warnings. A third has three bullet points to explain operation, and the fourth has half a page of specifications, six smaller-than-postage-stamp-sized illustrations that are practically worthless, and a really poor stab at assembly instructions.I don't know if I did it right, but by process of elimination I got it assembled. It actually came with two full sets of instructions and hardware.Now for the positive. It is well enough built, the wheel height is adjustable, and it works well. My grandson and I ran it around the yard today and found the chainsaw tool.Overall, I am pleased with it. But better instructions would have saved me some time and trial and error.

The 40Lb Rolling Magnetic Sweeper was purchased to clean garage/shop areas of metal shavings and home perimeters from metal construction debris. Comments following review and testing:1. Sweeper arrived disassembled - 1 magnetic box with release handle, 2 wheels, 2 handle sections, 1 package of assembly hardware, and brief introductory documentation.2. Provided paper documentation is not adequate for assembly - an assembly video is available via Amazon within the online photo section of the sweeper advertisement. Assembly is simple, but sequencing of wheel attachment must be followed - also reference below photos.3. Components are ROCK SOLID in material selection and fabrication. All metal components are heavy gauge, wheels comprised of heavy plastic and thick/solid rubber, handle is large and solid ABS like material, heavy paint finish on handle assemblies, hardware is heavy and good quality - Impressive.4. As noted, assembly is simple but ensure sequencing of wheel attachment hardware is proper - an additional flat washer was installed between interior wheel/axle and nut locking bolt to magnetic box to ensure smooth interaction/rotation. Note placement of flat vs lock washers, and standard nut placement between wheel and magnetic box with nylon nut on exterior of wheel.5. Handle length is adjustable via two knobs, ensuring bottom of magnetic box is parallel to ground surface during use or as the user desires.6. Performance of the sweeper is impressive - this guy is a Beast - it easily picked up items as large as 1/2"x3" lag bolts, and as small as 1/8" washers and metal dust from grinding.7. Sweeper was easy to maneuver on solid floors, lawns and mulched/graveled areas, largely due sizeable wheels.8. Release of attracted items was easily accomplished by pulling up on the magnetic box handle, which pulls the internal magnet away from the bottom of box, releasing metallic items.Great Form, Fit and Function, with same for Value at this $50 price point. Performance plus and high expectations for durability and longevity - Commercial quality. Highly Recommended with 5 Star rating.

I took one glance at the instruction sheet and went directly to the product listing hoping to find something helpful . A video shows how to quickly assemble this magnet as well as how to use it. It is very easy to use and works as I had hoped. I recently built a shed and while I thought I picked up every I knew it was unlikely and having a dog in the yard, I just didn't want her to step on something I should have picked up.

This has proven to be a useful tool in our home. New home means lots of nails and other items that are left in your yard and driveway that you don't always see. We have used this to "comb" our yard to make sure anything harmful left behind is picked up and out. This was a great tool and really glad that we came across this item.
