I use these as a pre-filter, as I usually remove the restricting device and need something else to seal hose when assembled!

You can find the Kohler 1051681 part here on Amazon for more than $7 each. The Kohler part, if you check out the specs, is made in China - just like these. I decided if I went with these, I could change it out every year for 20 years, even if it didn't hold up well. My new one dropped in without any problem and everything is flowing fine through my shower head. These arrived well-packed, in a small cardboard box, so they will be easy to store for the future. If you're going to buy a Chinese manufactured screen filter for your Kohler shower head, you may as well save some money and buy 20 from these folks instead of 1 from Kohler.
