This storage bench was purchased for the area by my front door. It is very sturdy and has a generous storage compartment as well as a shelf to put shoes on. While it is made well, we ran into a few issues with the fact that there were no holes pre-drilled for screws but other than that, it is wonderful.

While this is not marketed as an exercise bench that is actually what I purchased it for. I wanted something that would look nice in my family room. I’m not a hardcore gym rat but if I want a more hardcore workout then that’s where I go. I needed something that would work for me at home for when I don’t go to the gym for some reason. I like that I can store items such as small weights and exercise bands inside. I can probably put light weights on the metal shelf too. I don’t plan to put heavy weights on or in it.It looks as pictured. It is made out of metal and plastic (not wood). The cushion seems comfortable . I’m short so I can lie back on it to press dumbbells.It was easy enough to put together. All pieces are numbered and connecting pieces are lettered. Instructions are clear and even someone who can’t read can easily follow them. My only suggestion is to use an actual Phillips head screwdriver instead of the provided tool; otherwise five stars for instructions and ease of assembly. I did need my husband’s help to install the top, I held it while he screwed; otherwise, I did it myself. Item came well packaged and was delivered promptly. I am looking forward to making good use of it.

It’s made a great addition to our home. Looks great and is sturdy. Only issue was a few of the holes weren’t perfectly aligned so it made building it a little harder. I recommend attaching the side legs to the storage box before fully tightening the shoe platform at the base. Gives you a little wiggle room to work with if you run in to the same problem.

The Good:Beautiful bench, sturdy, and the detailed instructions made it easy to put together.The Bad:The screws (part F) are hard to put in. Why? The holes are not started. Be on standby with a drill because every single hole these go into (8 corner pieces, 4 for the hinge arm, 16 for the hinges) are marked, but not started enough to put screws into without accidentally stripping the heads with the included Allen wrench thing or loosing the little buggers. I used a 3/32" drill bit to start the holes and the screws went in perfectly after.

Got these a couple of months ago. Works as expected, needed assembly, need 2 ppl because had to make holes or something like that, to align the top closure piece. 2 pieces had chips so I contacted the seller asking for my shipping charge back. Seller offered that or they can send the 2 replacement pieces. I took a refund on the shipping charge which was 20$ Or so . The chips were on a part that ended up not being visible. This furniture is sturdy enough to sit on. Really like it. We needed some place to put shoes and slippers by the door temporarily until ready to put into their permanent spot.
