This is great for melting soaps and candles. I plan to use it for chocolate as well. Melts evenly and very easy to use. Would recommend.

This unit holds a wax melting temperature very close. I measure the temperature of the water at 45 C and it stays within +- one degree C. If you need to boil water it is a little slower than some larger units but if you are needing to melt wax in a double boiler, it is right on.

Not having temperature guides on knob, not just low...high. Actual temps 50 degrees 100 degrees 150 , etc
