This is not a true dual TTL hot shoe. It only fires 1 flash correctly. I set the 2nd flash up as a slave flash, so I get the desired outcome but not as advertised.

The product description indicates this is suited for Canon; but, it also says it is suitable for Nikon. Well, NOT true. All the photos in the ad do show correct pin orientation for Canon; however, the item I received had a pin orientation for Nikon! I informed Amazon of the incorrect product information, but nothing has ever been corrected. If you shoot with Nikon, this should work for you. If you shoot with Canon, do NOT buy this dual hot shoe mount.

Using this with a remote shutter release trigger on one side and a goddox flash transmitter on the other side, looks very pro and works like a champ.

It will not work if you have both hotshoes in use. Not even one of the devices. It fired a flash with the other empty however it was mis-timed. Most of the reviews said it didn't work but for my need it was worth a try. Definitely not worth the purchase sadly. I think it's a power issue. This device probably needs more circuitry to increase the power once split.

I had no clue they made such a contraption, but it's just what I needed. I keep a Solmeta Geotagger in my Nikon's hot shoe, which doesn't have hot shoe capabilities (it connects by cable to the 10-Pin Remote Terminal) but, being a GPS device, it needs to be on top of the camera unobstructed. When I use my flash (which does have hot shoe capabilities), I have to remove the Geotagger and clip it to my camera strap, which probably impeds GPS reception. I also sometimes use an intervalometer to capture lightning strikes, which also doesn't have hot shoe capabilities, but it needs to be mounted on top of the camera facing forward so that it can be triggered by lightning (and I would like to simultaneously capture and embed GPS coordinates into my photo's metadata). While only one of my devices requires hot shoe capabilities, all of them require proper positioning, which this device accomplishes.
