Worse use of $430 ever. I would not even buy them if they were $25. That is how useless they are.I bought these socks at a ski resort. I had not done any research.1. Not made of merino wool but some nylon / synthetic material so at heat level#1 , which is the level that lasts all day, they are about as warm as a good quality merino wool2. If you dial them up to #2 or 3 (out of 4), they will not last all day and when they go off, your feel will be worse of than with wool socks.3. They are space occupying in the toe box and I had a huge blister because there is a seam that crosses the little toe.Definitely if you are buying heated socks, make sure they are merino wool heated socks.

Box arrived. Had been opened/seal broken. Socks had lint and animal fur from being tried on and walked around in and the threads on the portion that holds the batteries were starting to come out. Ordered to give as a gift and take on a ski trip and got skunked because I had to return them. Used / open box not disclosed and sold as new.

Got them last year, as my heated insoles for my ski boots had died (managed to break both of the connectors in a ski chair mishap). Figured I'd give these a try, and they have been great! Perfect for older feet that don't have the circulation they used to. Better than heated insoles, as they can be used for all winter activity. The cell phone interface is nice, as it allows you to adjust the temp from a very easy to use interface. The initial setup on your phone is a bit fussy, but works great afterwards.
