These buckets are JUNK. I just recieved them and found the lids do not fit properly.The cost was outragest for the quality of this bucket! I will be returning it!

Unfortunately, this bucket cannot be closed by hand. You need to use a rubber mallet (according to the enclosed instructions). Also the instructions state it can only be closed and reopened 40 times before the seal will stop working.Neither of these important details are mentioned in the description and I bought this to use as our countertop compost bucket. When I requested a refund the same day I received the item I got an email from the seller stating shipping costs BOTH WAYS would be deducted from the return and that those costs could be $15-$25 each way (more than the cost of the bucket). Guess I will recycle it :( Buyer beware
